Why we built this
We kept hearing the same story from teachers across the country: grading takes hours, eats into evenings, and almost never gets reviewed twice. The work is necessary — students deserve real feedback — but the volume of it crowds out the work that actually changes a student's outcome. Planning the next lesson. Talking to a parent. Sleeping. We built HomeworkGrader to take a real bite out of that volume, while keeping every grade reviewable.
What we believe
- A grader is a tool, not a teacher. Every result should be reviewable, and the teacher is always the final word.
- Speed only matters if the result is right. We hold ourselves to 99% verdict accuracy and audit every release.
- A teacher should be able to try it on their own papers in minutes, with nothing to install.
- Student data is the teacher's data.
Who we are
FIRM AI is a Delaware corporation based in the United States. The founding team has worked across K–12 instruction, machine-learning research, and consumer product engineering. We are small on purpose. The product reflects that — every decision in HomeworkGrader was made by someone who has been close to the problem.
